I am a working stay at home mom of two teenage boys, so I understand the impact a hectic busy lifestyle can have on the health and well-being of you and your family. Like most parents, I wear multiple hats and get pulled in multiple directions everyday leaving me with little time to go beyond “getting through the day.” As your Holistic Health Coach, my mission is to help you bring balance back into your life by equipping you with the practical skills to make simple nutritional and lifestyle choices, which result in a BIG impact.
Let me ask if this sounds familiar… You’ve made the decision to get healthier, to cut sugar, processed foods, drink more water and workout everyday to feel better and lose weight. You do all the “right” things, BUT in about 1-3 days, you’re “Over It” because you aren’t seeing any results. Feeling frustrated and discouraged, you give up and go the opposite direction eating any and all sugar and carbs you can find. Been there? I have! We want results and we want them now.
As your Holistic Health Coach, I will share the key elements that you’re missing, beginning with but not limited to my KNOWLEDGE, SUPPORT and the extremely important WHY. The definition of a Coach is someone who supports a learner or client in achieving a specific personal or professional goal by providing training and guidance. I have an enormous heart for coaching people to better health, so they can feel amazing, age successfully and take full advantage of life without daily health annoyances and issues.
As one of my clients put it, “Kim, you have given me my life back!” For me, there is nothing better than coaching a client that has tried it all with little to no success in trying to lose weight, increase their energy, rid their bodies of bloat, aches, pains, rashes, digestive issues and generally not feeling great to “Wow! I feel better than I ever have!”
My passion for helping people to feel better physically, emotionally and mentally is bigger than myself and to be honest bigger than each individual I work with. The results people receive from working with me not only benefit them, but all the people in their own circles that they touch on a daily basis. I received my training as a Health Coach from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition’s cutting-edge Health Coach Training Program.
During my training, I studied over 100 dietary theories, practical lifestyle management techniques and innovative coaching methods with some of the world’s top health and wellness experts.
My teachers included:
- Dr. Andrew Weil, Director of the Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine
- Dr. Deepak Chopra, leader in the field of mind-body medicine
- Dr. David Katz, Director of Yale University’s Prevention Research Center
- Dr. Walter Willett, Chair of Nutrition at Harvard University
- Geneen Roth, bestselling author and expert on emotional eating
- And many other leading researchers and nutrition authorities
My education has equipped my with extensive knowledge in holistic nutrition, health coaching, and preventative health. Drawing on these skills and my knowledge of different dietary theories, I work with clients to help them make lifestyle changes that produce real and lasting results.
In addition to my Integrative Nutrition training, I have a Bachelors Degree in Exercise Physiology and over 20 year experience in the fitness industry as a fitness instructor and personal trainer as well as 6 years in the corporate fitness industry. My passion for health and wellness began when I was 19 years old. I have spent my entire life continuously learning and evolving myself into the healthiest and most balanced version of myself for today.
