One of the aspects of a new year that I really like is the feeling of a Fresh Start. Of course our life continues from the previous year, but there is a new found excitement in January that makes me feel Vibrant, Thrilled and full of Enthusiasm. There is a new energy in the air this time of year, Feel it? There’s a sense of feeling like you can accomplish anything.

Hence, New Years Resolutions. This is the time of year when we all make promises to ourselves to Start or Stop a habit or behavioral pattern. In doing a little research I was not surprised to find that weight loss is typically one of the top 3 if not the #1 resolution made for most people. I also found on StatisticBrain.com, “People who explicitly make resolutions are 10 times more likely to attain their goals than people who don’t explicitly make resolutions,” no surprise there! They go on to say 64% of the resolution making group make it past one month. Not fantastic, but not as bad as I thought it would be.

So if weight loss, and I’m going to add in getting healthier, is one of your New Years Resolutions, again?, what can you do differently this year to make it stick? How can you make losing weight and maintaining a healthy weight a Life Style change instead of on and off deprivation and feeling miserable when your clothes don’t fit?
